Firstly, please connect OT-806 to PC by data cable and select "Com port" on phone screen. Open OT-806 PC Suite, then you will see the status "Connected". Then click "Sync".

When the contacts synced to Outlook, it will display "synchronization completed".

When the driver is installed, Operation System may show a message “Digital Signature Not Found” or “Has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with this version of Windows”. Please select “Yes” or “Continue Anyway” to complete the installation.

The difference between E-mail and One Touch Mail is the PUSH function. One Touch Mail provides the function that if one mail arrives in the server, it can push the mail to your phone even if your One Touch Mail is inactive. With Email the mail will be pushed from server to your phone only if your Email account is activated.

Please set up your phone’s MMS parameter for both SIM1 and SIM2 by the following steps. Go to Menu => Message => SIM1 or SIM2 => Options => Settings => MMS => Edit profile => Select the MMS profile of chosen SIM => Activate For prepaid SIM, please make sure that you have enough load for this service application. Please be noted that the size of the MMS file to be sent or received has a big factor on phone’s performance in sending and receiving MMS. If the MMS couldn’t be sent out successfully, please try to decrease the file size and try again.

Please go to Menu > “Wap” > “Settings” > “Select profile” > Select and activate the profile that your service provider offers.

For prepaid SIM, please make sure that you have enough load for the browsing. If the problem persists, please contact Alcatel repair center for help.

Please long press the “#” key and Power on/off key at the same time in power off mode, then you will be asked “All data will be lost, continue?” After you select “Yes”, the sequence will be entered with reminder “Formatting flash, please wait.” The phone will auto switch on when reset finishes. Please do not manipulate the phone or remove the battery during this process. Please back up all useful information before phone reset, otherwise it will be deleted after phone reset.

The following section provides steps to solve network issues.

Step 1. Check your network connection.

The first step is to make sure that your Internet connection is working. Whether you are using a cable connection or WIFI, it is necessary that you are able to access Internet. For example, the following snapshot shows that the network connectivity is limited, which means you are connected to a local network but you are not able to access Internet.

You can open a web page that you have never opened before in order to force your Internet browser to effectively establish a connection with Internet.

Step 2. Check your Firewall/Antivirus/Security tools

If you are using your personal computer, you should know that some vendors may have preinstalled some security tools like anti-virus and/or firewall. You may also have installed them by yourself. Please make sure that these tools will not prevent the One Touch Upgrade application from accessing Internet.

Please check the logs or reports of these tools whether some alerts are registered. If such alerts exist, please read the manual of this tool in order to configure it and allow the software upgrade application to access Internet.

Step 3. Check your WIFI or home Router

If you are using WIFI at home then it is likely that you have a router. Normally, your router can be the box (or modem) provided by your Internet Service Provider. Or you may have also bought your own router and installed it in your home.

Whatever the case, you need to check that the router doesn’t contain a firewall or proxy that prevents your computer accessing the One Touch Upgrade service.

Please carefully read the user guide of your router to check the current firewall configuration. Some router may have a wizard to help user configure the basic settings. Firewall settings are usually found in advanced settings that may not be managed by the wizard. So you may have to disable the wizard and/or force the use of advanced or expert mode.

The target is to open the ports listed in the ‘Network Port’ section on your firewall.

Step 4. Check whether you are using the latest version of One Touch Upgrade

We suggest you check our website for latest version of One Touch Upgrade tool periodically. Please make sure that the previous version is uninstalled completely before installing the latest version.

Please go to menu -> “Wap” -> “Settings” -> “Preferences” -> Select Show images “Never”, then the images will not display when you browse internet. You can also go to menu -> “Settings” -> “Connectivity” -> “Web” -> “Preferences” -> Select Show images “Never”.

Please press Right softkey on home screen -> “Edit widgets” -> select the application which you want to add/delete on the home screen. Maximum widget number is 7. You could also select “Reorder widgets” to adjust the applications place.

Press the network which you want to connect, If the connection is successful, the Wi-Fi icon will be shown on the top of the status bar, near the antenna signal icon.

PUK2 code is provided by service provider, and cannot be changed.

PUK2 code is requested when you enter the PIN2 code incorrectly several times. If it is entered incorrectly over certain times, you need contact with your service provider to change your SIM card.

• Upgrade your mobile phone’s software again by One Touch Upgrade.

If the problem persists, please contact the Alcatel Contact Center according to the country you are located.

Network Key is from your service provider. It usually appears when you want to change the service provider company. Don't try to input it if you don't know the right Network Key, please contact service provider and ask them to help you with it.

For some service provider, if you had input wrong Network Key above certain times, your phone will be SIM locked, your phone screen will show 'SIM card locked! Please contact operator! Reset key?' If you saw these words, it means even you insert available operator's SIM card, you can't use your phone normally. Please contact your phone service provider and ask them to help you with it.

It might take longer time than normal to switch on the phone after using One Touch Upgrade. Please long press the switch on key to check again.

If it still doesn’t work, please take off the battery, then insert it to check again.

If the problem persists, please try to upgrade your mobile phone’s software by One Touch Upgrade again.

1. Check if you had activated call barring. 'Call barring' means you had barred some out-going call (All calls, All calls except those in SIM contacts, International calls, International except home) or incoming call (All calls, All calls except those in SIM contacts, Roaming). If you had activated, please cancel it.

2. Check if you had activated flight mode. 'Flight mode' means you had disconnected with service provider, and you will not be able to make out-going call and can't receive call. If you had activated, please cancel it.

3. Check if you had activated 'call forwarding'. It is possible that your incoming calls will be forwarded directly to your voicemail or other phone. If you had activated, please cancel it.

If the problem still can't be solved, please bring your phone to an Alcatel Care point for inspection, or call the Alcatel Contact Center correspondingly in the country you are located.

Firstly, please connect OT-806 to PC by data cable and select "Com port" on phone screen. Open OT-806 PC Suite, then you will see the status "Connected". Then click "Sync".

Secondly, select PIM software (Microsoft Outlook Express or Microsoft Outlook), we take Microsoft Outlook Express for example, then click "Sync".

When the contacts synced to Outlook, it will display "synchronization completed".

Thirdly, you can find them in Outlook ? Contacts.

Fourthly, please connect One Touch 990 to PC by data cable. Open ALCATEL PC Suite for One Touch 990.

Set One Touch 990 according to PC suite Notification.
Step 1: lanch Android manager agent;

When Android phone connects to PC suite successfully, PC suite will show , then click "Sync" and select "Contacts".

When too many APK applications have been installed in phone memory, the system might response slow or even can’t response correctly. In this case, please make user data format to fix it: long press volume up key and power on key at the same time in the power off mode. It is suggested to install the APK applications in Micro SD card instead of phone memory to avoid the same problem.

The maximum message size of one touch 909B is 300KB. You can attach any attachment within this size by following steps:
Create a new message -> touch “Menu” key -> “Attach” -> select the file which you want to attach.
You can also attach more than one attachment by following below steps, but the total size of these attachments should be within 300KB.
Create a new message -> touch “Menu” key -> “Attach” ->“Slideshow” -> “Slide 1” -> “Add picture” -> select the file which you want to attach -> touch “Menu” key -> “Add slide” -> “Add picture” -> repeat if you need to attach more attachments.

        
         
You can also add music as attachment if you press “Add music” instead of “Add slide”.

Please press “menu” key at home screen -> “Settings” -> “Wireless & networks” -> Turn on “Bluetooth”. Then go to main menu -> “File Manager” -> Long press the file which you want to send by Bluetooth -> “Share” -> “Bluetooth” -> Select a device, then pair with it, then the file will be transferred.

1. Please make sure your SD card is undamaged and can be recognized by your handset.
2. Please make sure the right USB cable for One Touch 909/910 is used.
3. When you connect the handset to PC, you’ll get the notification of “USB connected”. Please press “Turn on USB storage”, then you can access your SD card on PC.
 

If you want to stop the connection between SD card and PC, please click the status bar on home screen and drag it down, then click “Turn off USB storage” -> “Turn off”.

  

Firstly please make sure the input methods you need have been installed in your phone. Then go to “messaging” ->”New messages”-> Long press the blank area and click “Input method” on the popup window, you can select the input method that you want.

You can add/move the applications on home screen in the following two ways:
1. Press menu key at keyboard, click “Add”, and choose an item: Shortcuts / Widgets/ Folders/ Wallpapers/Themes, then click the application which you want to add on the home screen.
2. Press the application icon for about 2 seconds, the icon will be displayed and moved on home screen.
If you want to delete the application on the home screen, please press the application icon on home screen for about 2 seconds the icon will then become bigger and a trash can icon will appear at the bottom of home screen. The application will be deleted from the home screen if you drag the application icon to the trash can.

Yes, the phone can be used without SD card. But the SD card is mandatory for some applications, such as camera, camcorder and downloading files from internet. We suggest you have an SD card, so that you can fully use all the functions.

APK (Android Package) file is the installation file for Android phone, which can be downloaded from Google Market or other websites. Please copy APK files to the SD card and use the built-in File Manager program to open it, then follow the setup wizard to finish the installation.
Please be noted that the third-party APK files downloaded from other websites except Google Market are not allowed to be installed by default due to security reason. You can change the setting by the following method: “Setting” -> “Applications”, then activate “Unknown sources” option.

   

The built-in programs in the handset are not allowed to be uninstalled. You can only uninstall the applications which were installed by yourself.
Please press “menu” key at home screen ->“Settings”-> “Applications” -> “Manage applications”, then you can see the applications installed by yourself. Please click the one that you want to uninstall and follow the uninstall process.

Please press “menu” key at home screen -> “Settings” -> “Wireless & networks” -> Turn on “Wi-Fi” -> Press “Wi-Fi settings” -> Select “Network notification” -> press “menu” key -> “Scan”-> The available Wi-Fi networks will be listed.
Press the network which you want to connect. If the connection is successful, the Wi-Fi icon will be shown on the top of the status bar, near the antenna signal icon.

The phone requires around 5 minutes to access the GPS satellite and to get the best positioning when you use the GPS for the first time. A better and quicker positioning requires to be stable in a place with clear view of the sky. The GPS needs around 20-40s to get the best positioning after the first time.

Please press “Traffic Manager” from home screen or menu to start the application. In “General” page, you can have a clear picture of data traffic including data, call and SMS. Press “Data”, then you can enable or disable counter, set counting period, set starting time and reset counter. By activating “data limit”, you will receive a warning if limitation is reached. The default value of data limit is 100M, and you can also change it in “Limit”.
“Call” and “SMS” have the same operation with Data. 
 

You have reached the end of this page when this sign shows up. You will also find the same sign at the top of screen when you scroll screen up to the top. This is a default setting in Android2.3.

The screen can orientate automatically with the machine moving. You can go to “setting” -> “Display” -> “Auto-rotate screen” to deactivate it.

If you forget the screen unlock pattern, please make user data format in the following way:
Turn off the handset, press the “#” key and the Power key at the same time for a few seconds until you see the reset interface. The handset can be used without screen unlock pattern after its reboot.
Please be noted that user data format will erase all data from your phone (not include SD card files and current system software).

When too many temporary files have been stored in memory, it may affect system response. We suggest you find suitable APK from Android Market to clean your database. Please do not install too many applications in system which might affect the operation performance. It is suggested to use “Task manager” to kill the unused running programs and use “File manager” to uninstall the unnecessary applications. You can also visit our website to find the latest software to update your system. 

If your moving speed is around 8-10km/h, you will not get a location fixed by GPS. Please reduce the speed or have a stop for 20-30 seconds, then you can get the location fixed.

Please confirm that your Wi-Fi router or firewall is not blocking pot 5228(TCP and UDP). You can read the user guide of your Wi-Fi equipment or contact your IT for more details.

If the time or time zone is not correctly set, the phone might have connection error or certificates error when you use the above applications. Please set your handset’s time to the correct local time including time zone, date and time.

Firstly, if your phone is in a region with weak 3G signal, we suggest you select “Use only 2G network” to prevent your mobile always switching between 2G and 3G network. Please press menu key from home screen ->“Settings”"->Wireless & networks”->“Mobile networks”->Select “Use only 2G networks”.
 

Secondly, please close some applications which are not used in background.
Please press menu key->Setting->“Applications”->“Running services”->select the idle programs that you are not using and stop the service.
 
 
Thirdly, please adjust the screen brightness.

Fourthly, please deactivate Wi-Fi and Bluetooth when you are not using them.

There are two methods to use the phone as modem:
Method 1: By using USB tethering
1. Please make sure USB driver has been installed in PC;
2. Please connect your phone to PC via USB cable, then go to main menu ->“Settings”"->Wireless & networks”->”Tethering & portable hotspot” -> activate “USB tethering”

Method 2: By using portable Wi-Fi hotspot
1. Please go to main menu ->“Settings”"->Wireless & networks”->”Tethering & portable hotspot” -> activate “Portable Wi-Fi hotspots -> Go to “portable WI-FI hotspot settings” ->press “configure Wi-Fi hotspot” to change device name and set up password ->save.

2. Please activate the wireless network connection of your computer and it will auto search the wireless signal; then connect it and input the same password.

Note: 1. Please make sure bluetooth is off when you are using portable hotspots; 2. Please turn off portable Wi-Fi hotspot when you are not using it for security concern.

Once phone and PC get connected, the phone can act as a modem.

RESET is to set your mobile phone into the state as when it comes out from factory. Please be noted that after phone reset all personal data added by the user will be lost (except SIM card), which includes: pictures, audio, video, downloaded applications and games, products directory data and WAP bookmark etc.

When the mobile can not be switched on/ switched off by power key, or switch off automatically, and the failure is not related to battery, please try to reset your mobile.

Long press “# key” and “power on key” at the same time in power off mode, then you will be asked “All data will be lost, continue?” After you select “Yes,” the sequence will be entered with reminder “Formatting flash, please wait.” The phone will auto switch on when reset finishes. Please do not manipulate the phone or remove the battery during this process.
NOTES: For OT-Mini (OT-708) specifically, due to the touch panel design, reset can be performed only by long pressing “upper side key” and “power on key” at the same time.

You can insert your SIM cards as below steps:
1. There are some marks on the frame of your phone; per the marks you can find that the directions of SIM1 and SIM2 are different. 

•  Insert SIM2 into lower SIM connector first.

Please note that there is still a gap between the lower SIM connector and PCBA, make sure you’re inserting you SIM card into the correct position.

The phone will start and keep searching network after you insert SIM card into it, which will consume battery power. This consumption will be double if your phone is using 2 SIM cards.

Go to “Media album” -> “Memory status” to check whether your phone memory is full. If yes, please delete some files and restart your phone to check again.

When the MMS attachment is big, it will take a rather long time to send it out. During sending process, if you press any key when the backlight is off, OT-355 might display white screen. But the phone is still working. When the MMS is send out successfully, the phone display will be normal.

Below steps are required to setup the phone: 

• APN settings.

APN is short for Access Point Name, which determines what kind of access way your phone connects to internet.
You can set your APN by following steps:
1). Go to ‘Main Menu’--> ‘Settings’--> ‘Connectivity’--> ‘Data Account’--> ‘GPRS’--> confirm if the settings of your operator’s HTTP APN is correct or not (if you do not know the setting parameters or you can not find the APN of your operator in the list, please call your operator to get the you can modify/create the APN. PLEASE NOTE: ask for HTTP ANP but not WAP APN).

2). Go back to ‘Connectivity’--> ‘Web’--> ‘Edit Profile’--> select the profile of your operator, or ‘Create’ a new one --> ‘Edit Profile’--> make sure the ‘Homepage’, ‘Data Account’ is correct; for ‘IP Address’, it MUST be ‘HTTP’ --> then press ‘Back’ to upper menu, ‘Activate Profile’.

 
2. TIME and TIMEZONE
Time and Time-Zone must be correct or you can not register to Yahoo. (Note: Time is -10 minutes behind up to 1 min ahead, this is the tolerance set by Yahoo)
Setting steps are as bellow:
Go to Main Menu --> ‘Clock’--> ‘Clock’--> set correct parameters, and make sure ‘Auto-Update Date/Time’ is ‘On’.
After below steps, use your phone to access internet (the easiest way is to press the  hard-key to launch the Internet Browser), exit after the page is successfully loading, then auto-update of Date/Time will be done.

3. Single-sign-on
As part of tracing to ensure all steps of registration is complete, turn on delivery reports for SMS for final confirmation via below steps:
Go to Main Menu --> ‘Messages’--> ‘Settings’--> ‘Text Messages’--> ‘General Settings’ --> select ‘Delivery Report’--> press ‘Done’ to save the setting.

Yon can register to Yahoo! by below steps:

Go to Main Menu --> ‘Yahoo! Settings’--> ‘Yahoo! Account’

If the registration stops and does not complete, please check what the error message is and correct the incorrect settings (such like incorrect user name, password, date/time…).

If the registration still fails after your correction, please confirm below points with your operator:
• Can the SIM card do international SMS?
• Do you have enough credit on the SIM card?
• Does your operator block this? Subscribe to a plan?

For first time launch of Search, it will give you terms of service, you need to select your country.
You can change your service via below steps:
From idle screen, select ‘Search’--> ‘Options’--> ‘Settings’--> ‘Change Country/Area’.

For Voice Search, please Note that NOT al l countries support Voice Search, ONLY USA for now. This function can be used as below steps:
From Idle screen, select ‘Search’, then ‘Hold + Speak’ icon will be prompted--> press and hold the  key, speak what you want to search--> release the  key.

Social pulse needs to be launched from browser first, then select and add your SNS sites. Once these are added in, it will be updated automatically (default setting is auto-

update every 4 hours).
• Login to Yahoo! portal on the browser is required.
• You can manually update from the RSS Reader to get your SNS updates at anytime.

Synchronization will be auto-updated when there is any new entry, update or delete of existing Calendar or contacts. You can also synchronize you data by manual as follow steps:
Go to Main Menu --> ‘Synchronization’

From the camera application, take a picture, and a FLICKR icon will show up. Then select Flickr icon to upload.
For first time users of Flickr, authorization is required and will launch browser.
Login and authorize Flickr upload.
Picture will be uploaded in the background.
Upload pictures can also be done from File manager, but choosing options, and upload to flickr.
A detailed log of what has been uploaded can be viewed from choosing Y! Services settings, and Flickr Upload Log.

nWay Stopwatch: you can select different direction for different timing at the same screen.

By pressing the power-on key, you can get out of the stopwatch screen with stopwatch still running, and go back by entering the stopwatch menu.

2. Select “HTTP” in “IP address”->input the following data:

• Use Proxy: (Check with your phone service Provider)
• Proxy address :( Check with your phone service Provider)
• Proxy Port: (Check with your phone service provider)
• Username :( You don’t need to enter the “username”)
• Password: (You don’t need to enter the “password”) 

3. After all the data have been entered and saved, a new account will appear. Please activate the account, then you could send MMS.

Sometimes the FM network is not steady, please search it again.

There are two methods to transfer data between phone and PC:
Method 1: By using USB cable
1.If you want to transfer data between memory card and PC, please connect your phone to PC via user data cable; select “Mass storage” from your phone, a removable disk will then appear in your computer. Now you could transfer data between memory card and PC.
 
2.If you want to transfer data between phone memory and PC, please power off your phone, then connect your phone to PC via user data cable; you will find two removable disks in your computer, one is phone memory, the other is memory card. Now you could transfer data among PC, phone memory and memory card.
 

Method 2:  By using PC suite
1.Take V7.0.10 for example. Open PC suite->connect your phone to PC via user data cable ->select “Com port” on phone screen, you will see “connected” status on PC suite->Select “Multimedia”
 
2.Transfer data from PC to phone: Select a folder-> right-click the file and select “Copy from folder”.
 
 Select a file you want to transfer, click “OK”.
 
Then the file will be transferred to your phone.
 
3. Transfer data from your phone to PC: select a file-> right-click the file ->"Copy to folder”
 
Select a place that you want to transfer to; click “OK”, then the file will be transferred from your phone to PC.

Once the battery isn't used for a long time, it is probably that the battery had been over discharged. In this case, the phone would have no charging indicator when you plug it to the the charger. It doesn't necessarily mean the battery is broken. You can charge it for at least 10-30 minutes and see if there is anything changes. Following are the steps to configure email service on you mobile. We take Google Mail for example.
1. Please go to menu, press “Email”-> press    -> Select your Email account type.
2. Please input your Email account and Password, then select your Data account.
3. Please choose your “Protocal” and input the “Incoming Server” and “Outgoing Server”. Then you should input other parameters, such as “Incoming Port”, “Outgoing Port” and “Security”. You can ask your email service provider for detail setting requirement.
Note: Some email services cannot be used for free, such as Yahoo! Mail.

Please set up your phone’s Java parameter by selecting profile for your Java network Service.
Go to Menu -> Java ->Java network -> SIM only ->select and activate the profile of your service provider.

Please turn on Wi-Fi and press “Options” in the interface of “Available networks”, then choose “Refresh”. The available Wi-Fi networks will be listed. If there is a lock on the Wi-Fi icon, a user name and password are required for connection. If no, this Wi-Fi network is for free. Please click the network which you want to connect, press “Options” then choose “Connect”. If the connection is successful, a green tag will appear on both Wi-Fi icon and signal icon. The Wi-Fi icon will also be shown on the top of the idle interface, near the antenna signal icon.

One Touch Mail supports Gmail, Windows Live, Outlook, Yahoo Mail and some other emails. You can have three different email accounts on your mobile device.

Take Gmail for example, please input your username and password, press “Next”, then your email account will be created successfully.
      
    

You can use Wi-Fi to browse the web in the following two ways:
• Browse the web by Wap
In idle interface, press “Wap” → “Settings” → “Select profile” → “Wi-Fi preferred” or “Wi-Fi” → “OK” (left soft key). Then press “ Edit profile” → “Wi-Fi” → “Create” → enter profile name and homepage → “Done”.
• Browse the web by Opera without any setting

The difference between E-mail and One Touch Mail is the PUSH function.
The One Touch Mail Push Mail messaging service notifies you with a specific sound and a message on your screen as soon as a new email arrives. Even when the application is in idle or in standby mode, the email messaging service on your mobile device is still available. When an email arrives and your device is in Push Mode OFF, the application will wake up and notify you that a new mail has arrived. If the Push Mode is "Off", the application will check with the server based on the intervals you set.
With Email in menu, all mails remain on the mail server until the recipient uses the Email program to poll the mail server.

An E icon displays on the top of idle interface when GPRS works. A Wi-Fi icon displays on the top of the idle interface when Wi-Fi works.

The phone with touch screen function may be insensitive after using for some time. In this case, please calibrate the touch screen with one of the following two methods:
1. Long press the volume key；
2. In main menu, choose “Settings” ->"Phone settings”->"Touch settings” ->"LCD touch calibration”.

If you want to delete the short cut in the idle interface, please press the icon in the idle interface for about 2 seconds, a red cross will display near the icon. Press the red cross and “Done” on the bottom of the idle interface, the shortcut will be deleted.

Please set up your phone’s MMS parameter for both SIM1 and SIM2 by the following steps.
Go to Menu ->"Messaging” ->" SIM1 or SIM2->Options->"Settings”->"Multimedia message”->"Edit profiles” ->"Select the MMS profile of chosen SIM->" Activate.
For prepaid SIM, please make sure that you have enough load for this service application. Please be noted that the size of the MMS file has big effect on phone’s performance in sending and receiving MMS. If the MMS couldn’t be sent out successfully, please try to decrease the file size and try again.

You can lock the keypad in the following two ways:
• In the menu interface, press “Settings” → “Phone settings” → “Auto lock”, then choose “30 sec” or “1 min”. If you choose “Off”, the keypad will not be locked automatically.
• Press the power on key to lock the keypad.

Please go to menu ->"Contacts”-> SIM1 or SIM2 -> Options->"Copy SIM1/SIM2 to phone”.

If you want to input symbols, please press the “Fn” key and symbol key at the same time, then you can select the symbol in the symbol page.
If you want to change the input method, please press the “Fn” key and space key at the same time. You can also change it in the following way: Press “Options” → “ Input method”, and then choose the input method you want.

Yahoo! account has some distinction in different countries.
In some countries, Yahoo! providers permit their accounts to use POP3 or IMAP4 protocol. The users can use their Yahoo! accounts on mobile devices in these countries, such as UK and France.
In some countries such as China and India, Yahoo! account can not use POP3 or IMAP4 for free. Users have to pay money to upgrade to " Yahoo! Plus", or user can download their Yahoo! mail in an email client such as Outlook.

Please go to menu->"Settings” ->"Call Settings” ->"Call forwarding” ->"Voice calls” ->"Forwarding all voice calls”->"Activate” ->"To other numbers” ->" Input the number which you want to forward to and save the setting.

Please sign in you Yahoo! mail on your PC, and then put your cursor on the top-right corner of the following page and choose "Options” -->“More Options".

You will access the Yahoo! account settings page. Please choose "POP& Forwarding".
If you're permitted to use mobile Yahoo!, you'll see below screen.

If you're not permitted to use mobile Yahoo! for free, you'll see the following screen.

1. Please connect the phone to your PC via USB data cable and download the Java program to the SD card in your phone. Please download the “Jar” file or the combination of “Jar” and “Jad” file. Only “Jad” file is not supported. (Here we take the Java program “My Life In New York” for example.)

 
2. Please go to menu, select “File manager” --> “SD card” --> Select the Java program that you want to install --> “Options” --> “Install”.

The maximum message size of 909/910 series phones is 300KB. You can attach any attachment within this size by following steps:
Create a new message ->touch “Menu” key->"Attach”-> select the file which you want to attach.
You can also attach more than one attachment by following below steps, but the total size of these attachments should be within 300KB.
Create a new message-> touch “Menu” key->"Attach”->"Slideshow”->"Slide 1” ->"Add picture”-> select the file which you want to attach-> touch “Menu” key ->"Add slide”->"Add picture”-> repeat if you need to attach more attachments.

You can also add music as attachment if you press “Add music” instead of “Add slide”.

Please be noted that the installation of driver only updates the driver on PC without any software updated for your modem. You need to install the driver on the Windows7 computer which you are using with the modem.

1. Please make sure your SD card is undamaged and can be recognized by your handset.
2. Please make sure the right USB cable for One Touch 909/910 is used.
3. When you connect the handset to PC, you’ll get the notification of “USB connected”. Please press “Turn on USB storage”, then you can access your SD card on PC.

Normally, your PC can recognize and install the USB driver automatically.
Windows systems will create files for related USB driver under below location on your PC when you complete the installation of Dashboard:
C:\Program Files\HSPA USB MODEM\Driver.

If you want to stop the connection between SD card and PC, please click the status bar on home screen and drag it down, then click “Turn off USB storage”->"Turn off”.

The “Autorun” might not work well depending on the operation system's privacy rights setting. Please double click the shortcut icon on the desktop or the CD icon in "My computer" to run the application manually.
Or you can change the setting on your computer following below steps:
1). Click “Start” menu on your PC, and then select “Run”.
2). Type in “gpedit.msc” in the “Run” dialog box, and click “OK” to enter Group Policy.
 
3). Select “Administrative Templates / System / Turn off Autoplay”, click the right mouse button, select and click “Properties”.


4). Select “Disabled”, then click “OK” to complete the setting.

You can add/move the applications on home screen in the following two ways:
1. Press menu key at keyboard, click “Add”, choose an item: Shortcuts / Widgets/ Folders/ Wallpapers/Themes, then click the application which you want to add on the home screen.
2. Press the application icon for about 2 seconds, the icon will be displayed and moved on home screen.
If you want to delete the application on the home screen, please press the application icon on home screen for about 2 seconds the icon will then become bigger and a trash can icon will appear at the bottom of home screen. The application will be deleted from the home screen if you drag the application icon to the trash can.

The contacts in the SIM card should be imported to handset before you use them. Please press Menu key when you get in the contacts interface, then choose “Import/Export” ->"Import from SIM card”. You can also choose “Import from SD card” if you have vCard saved in your SD card.

Yes, the phone can be used without SD card. But the SD card is mandatory for some applications, such as camera, camcorder and downloading files from internet. We suggest you have an SD card, so that you can fully use all the functions.

Open the dashboard, select “Setting” ---> “Diagnostics”, then you can get the firmware version.

APK (Android Package) file is the installation file for Android phone, which can be downloaded from Google Market or other websites. Please copy APK files to the SD card and use the built-in File Manager program to open it, then follow the setup wizard to finish the installation.
Please be noted that the third-party APK files downloaded from other websites except Google Market are not allowed to be installed by default due to security reason. You can change the setting by the following method: “Setting” ->"Applications”, then activate “Unknown sources” option.

The signal strength impacts the internet speed directly. Weak signal always leads to low internet speed. Please try to use your modem in another place. If the problem persists, please contact your operator/service provider for help.

The built-in programs in the handset are not allowed to be uninstalled. You can only uninstall the applications installed by yourself.

The phone requires around 5 minutes to access the GPS satellite and to get the best positioning when you use the GPS for the first time. A better and quicker positioning requires to be stable in a place with clear view of the sky. The GPS needs around 20-40s to get the best positioning after the first time.

• Due to computer's USB port design limitation, some ports might not match the modem perfectly. Please make sure your modem is inserted correctly. You can remove the device and insert it again, or insert the device to another USB port.

Please press “Traffic Manager” from home screen or menu to start the application. In “General” page, you can have a clear picture of data traffic including data, call and SMS. Press “Data”, then you can enable or disable counter, set counting period, set starting time and reset counter. By activating “data limit”, you will receive a warning if limitation is reached. The default value of data limit is 100M, and you can also change it in “Limit”.
"Call” and “SMS” have the same operation with Data.

Thirdly, please check if the connection profile (APN) is correct. Sometimes, operator might change the connection profile without notification.

If you forget the screen unlock pattern, please make user data format in the following way:
Turn off the handset, press the volume up key and the Power key at the same time for a few seconds until you see the reset interface. The handset can be used without screen unlock pattern after its reboot.

Firstly, please disconnect and connect the Internet to check again.
Secondly, please check the IE settings, or upgrade the IE browser, or reinstall it.

When too many temporary files have been stored in memory, it may affect system response. We suggest you find suitable APK from Android Market to clean your database. Please do not install too many applications in system which might affect the operation performance. It is suggested to use “Task manager” to kill the unused running programs and use “File manager” to uninstall the unnecessary applications. Please check whether the SMS center number is correct. If yes, please check whether the network is well covered. If the problem persists, please contact your service provider for help.

If your moving speed is around 8-10km/h, you will not get a location fixed by GPS. Please reduce the speed or have a stop for 20-30 seconds, then you can get the location fixed.

Firstly, please check whether the SMS memory is full. If yes, please delete some messages.
Secondly, you might need to wait for a while to receive the message if the network is busy. Thirdly, you can send a SMS or connect the Internet again to "wake up" the network server.

Please confirm that your Wi-Fi router or firewall is not blocking pot 5228(TCP and UDP). You can read the user guide of your Wi-Fi equipment or contact your IT for more details.

The announced data transfer rate is the speed in the theoretic network condition.
The actual wireless speed is related with the following listed factors:
1) Modem's throughput capability;
2) Wireless network's throughput capability;
3) Wireless network's real time congestion;
4) Wireless network's signal quality of your location;
5) The web server's throughput capability, which you are accessing;
6) SIM/USIM's registered downloading/uploading speed rights.

If the time or time zone is not correctly set, the phone might have connection error or certificates error when you use the above applications. Please set your handset’s time to the correct local time including time zone, date and time.

The One Touch Mail Push Mail messaging service notifies you with a specific sound and a message on your screen as soon as a new email arrives. Even when the application is in idle or in standby mode, the email messaging service on your mobile device is still available.
The difference between E-mail and One Touch Mail is the PUSH function.
With One Touch Mail, when an email arrives and your device is in Push Mode OFF, the application will wake up and notify you that a new mail has arrived. If the Push Mode is "Off", the application will check with the server based on the intervals you set.
