If you use weather function, first you will see “Terms of use”. Please select “Yes” to use this weather report function. If this is the first time for you to use this new function, please select “Options” ---> “Update” to update the weather information for present. Also you can select “My cities” to choose the city which you want. This is an example for Paris’ weather report.

There are many functions in “Options”:

“More info”: to show more information about weather;

“Forecast”: to forecast weather for three days: today, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow;
“Settings”:

Unit: Metric/ Imperial;

Update mode: to update the weather report manual/6hours/12hours/24hours/;

Network selection: the network your service provider offers;

Main screen display: On / Off

If you choose “ Main screen display On”, the weather report will be displayed in idle screen

Please “update” your weather information firstly. If the problem persists, it may be related to the Accu Weather Server. Please contact Alcatel Contact Center according to the country you are located.

Please check whether your GPRS connection is activated and make sure that the GPRS is working well.

You can add a new city by following steps:

Go to ‘Menu’---> ‘Weather’---> ‘Options’---> ‘My cities’---> ‘Options’ ---> ‘Add new city’ ---> enter the city’s name, the press ‘OK’ to search the city ---> ‘Select’ the city.

Some cities might not exist, which means there is no weather information of these cities stored in the server. Please choose another city.

Firstly, please select 'Instant messaging' and you will see following MMI:

Select 'Menu' then you can see 'Sign in' and 'Register',

Select 'Register' to register an account on Palringo,

Make sure the email address and the password are right,

Secondly, select 'sign in' for login:

Fill in all information, then press 'sign in' :

Select the Server which you want to login, for example: MSN

Complete the information and select 'OK' to login MSN.

Press OK, you will see the different news, and select one of them to have a look.

You will also see the latest news on your idle screen

If you want to activate automatic update, please go to ‘Menu’---> ‘News’---> ‘Options’---> ‘Settings’---> ‘Auto update’.

You can choose auto update each 2h/4h/8h/24h.

Step II: Create new links.
Go to ‘Menu’---> ‘News’---> ‘Terms of use’--->press down key and select ‘Yes’ to continue--->’Create’.

Input the name of ‘Channel title’ and address (URL):

Press done and save the setting.

Then you can launch first access as described in Step I.

Way I:
You can know if one website has RSS by checking if there is ‘RSS’ logo appears in the address bar of the news.

1. Add the address into your phone manually (please refer to the answer of Q8, Step II Create new links.)

2.1. ‘Use URL’--->‘Add to news’ when you get the address via SMS/MMS on your phone.

Then input the name of ‘Channel title’ and save it.

2.2. If you get the address via E-mail on your phone, select ‘Option’---> ‘Extract’---> ‘URL address’---> ‘Add to news’.

Then input the name of ‘Channel title’ and save it.

You can also get a link from WAP/WEB brower:

Go to a WEB or WAP site with RSS, when a link is selected, use ‘Options’---> ‘Use Link’---> ‘Add to news’.

Then input the name of ‘Channel title’ and save it.

Firstly please check whether the URL address used is correct. Currently OT-800 supports RSS2.0, RSS1.0 and RSS0.9. Other formats are not supported.

Sometimes the FM network is not steady, please search it again.

Once the battery isn't used for a long time, it is probably that the battery had been over discharged. In this case, the phone would have no charging indicator when you plug it to the the charger.
