ALCATEL ONE TOUCH announces the ONE TOUCH SMART 991, a large screen smart phone that brings together social networking, business and entertainment in a beautiful and sleek handset.

Launching with the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system it offers one touch access to a full range of high-end features at a budget price. With social networking, movies, music, high-speed internet access (7.2Mbps), plus a feast of embedded apps for business and fun, it’s got everything you need for work and play. And in its dual SIM version, the ONE TOUCH SMART 991D, it’s two phones in one.

Available in purest white and business black, the ONE TOUCH SMART 991 is clad in tactile soft-touch plastic that feels warm and comforting in the hand. The wide 4 inches touch screen can do just about everything a tablet can (except this one can fit in your pocket), and the powerful 800MHz processor means you can run multiple apps, browse the internet and play music, all at the same time, without slowing down.

 

A world of entertainment in your hand

The ONETOUCH SMART 991 is great for movies, thanks to its lusciously bright and clear 4 inches HGVA screen with a huge 262 000 colour display. Music sounds glorious too, thanks to a high-quality pair of supplied headphones. There’s also an FM radio with RDS and music apps like Shazam to help you identify mystery tracks. Internet radio is covered straight out of the box thanks to Tunein, offering 50,000+ stations from around the globe. The latest Bluetooth 4.0 technology with A2DP connects wireless headphones with ease and the handset comes with a 2GB micro SD memory card as standard – enough for more than 400 tracks, or a selection of movies, pictures, games and apps. And if you need more, it can handle cards up to 32GB.

 

One touch cloud

ALCATEL ONE TOUCH’s online service means you can save all your important data to your own personal cloud, as well as sync and push your data to all your devices, instantly.

Essential social networking apps Facebook and Twitter, as well as Palringo chat groups, are all preinstalled, so you’re ready to start chatting with friends, family and workmates. Plus you can add quick-access widgets to the phone’s home screen that keep you posted on the latest updates and let you say what’s on your mind in one touch.

 

Picture perfect

The 3.2 megapixel camera comes with digital zoom, LED flash, geo-tagging and a selection of photo modes including ‘panorama’ for ravishing widescreen shots. Clever image processing software allows you to increase the resolution to 5 megapixels by software interpolation and it will record video at a smooth 30fps. The VGA resolution camera on the front means you can make video calls or take self-portraits too.

 

Dual SIM/dual standby

No need to carry one phone for work and another for yourself. The ONE TOUCH 991D option can hold two SIM cards, and use them simultaneously (dual standby). An alert tells you which number is being called, and you can select which number you dial from, as well as setting up different data settings for each SIM.
